Saving the World Means Dying Once

[Dazai fans, beware!!! Dazai fans are strongly advised to stay away!!! Severe OOC, and I'm too lazy to fix it. It's melodramatic, messed up, and chuunibyou!!! Before writing this, I read No Longer Human to get a feel for the character, and it left me depressed. Dazai Osamu's characterization completely fell apart. This is a sad product of being poisoned by all that angst. Once it was taken out of the written context, the dialogue became melodramatic and painfully embarrassing. But after revising it three times, I was completely worn down, so I don't want to revise it again. I won't write about Dazai anymore, either. Please, Dazai fans, don't read this. It'll make you suffer, and I know that if you read it, I'll suffer too.] Blurb: Other people's Systems work diligently as their Hosts' golden fingers, but Vera's System spends every day figuring out how to make its Host die in the most spectacular fashion. System: Host, what do you think of this way to die? Isn't it grand? Glorious? Cool? Doesn't it befit your status as the savior of the world? Vera: Sure, I'm fine with anything. Whatever. After dying and coming back to life over and over for the sake of saving the world, and getting thoroughly screwed over by fate, Vera became a completely laid-back girl. "I've seen through it all. Fate is an idiot. Life needs a little ceremony, even when you're dying in a ridiculously cool way." "Want to welcome death with me, bright-eyed and refreshed?" "No, thank you. You go ahead." ----The above is the comedic blurb---- She is the hero who saves the world, but nobody can reach out to help her. So I will become her hero. --By the male lead, whose name is unknown ----Divider---- Known worlds so far: Child of Light arc: The Thornbird Who Died Weeping Blood Messenger of the Azure Sky arc: The Moth Who Serves Light and Flame Tattooed Shrine Maiden arc: The Stars and Moon in Your Hands Godslayer Shrine Maiden arc: The March Cherry Blossoms That Hold Up the Sky (To be added) ----Divider---- Author's note: A chuunibyou work of dire misfortune, involving characters from other works. Due to the subject matter, it went through three rounds of revision, causing the entire outline and plotline to fall apart. Although I polished and rewrote it, I don't feel I managed to recapture the original flavor. If you find yourself thinking, "Damn, that gave me goosebumps," but then finish it and think, "That's it? That's all?" then yes, it's because the revisions made me forget the story's core. Reader's note: #This entire story has been revised. Please read the announcement in the first prologue. # #The heroine grows over time and is timid and useless at first. # Theme: Love and peace
