[Wuxia Crossover] The Guanyin Sword

[I'm back and in recovery. Updates will be slow.] [Title changed: A Demon Unmade -> A Beauty Is Here -> Guanyin Sword] [It's not recommended to turn off author notes. They contain a lot of historical research, including explanations of whether supplementary fanon settings are used and which ones.] [You can turn them off if you're not interested in the specific settings.] I behold a beauty, but cannot think of her. Someone once asked: "There are so many talented people under Young Master Jiu. Why are you, a mere young upstart, the one he likes best?" Liao Qinghuan answered calmly: "Ever since I started following the young master, I stopped being a person and became a dog. A dog is naturally loyal enough. Even someone as cold-hearted as the young master is bound to be moved, at least a little, by loyalty." Among the countless people and countless events in this world, a beautiful face and a thin veil are never hard to come by. Who can blame him for being both a villain and a beauty? No matter how many things he says or does wrong, someone will always find an excuse for him. Ha. How rare. The only golden finger is his face and swordsmanship (the most beautiful face in the world, while his sword skills steadily improve). CP: Gong Jiu (Zhu Yuliu) x Liao Qinghuan (Liao Qingyang) This isn't a scumbag-and-doormat romance. It's about earnestly pursuing someone and refusing to believe in it. All characters' words and actions follow the logic of their characterization and do not represent the author's views (especially the women depicted in the original classics, who strike me as both stereotypical and free-spirited). Content warnings: Qinghuan comes from a brothel, and Gong Jiu is a prince. Both have romantic histories, but once they're together, they have eyes for each other alone. Plot to romance ratio: 9:1 The timeline mainly follows Lu Xiaofeng. Some supplementary fanon settings are used, and I'll explain whenever I do. Theme: Only by staying true to yourself can you earn the respect of others.
