Refuse a Horror NPC's Proposal or Die

Jiang Chu suffers from a severe case of Sleeping Beauty Syndrome, often falling asleep without warning and without realizing it. To ease his symptoms, he follows his younger sister's advice and enters an escape game in search of thrills. But every scenario he encounters is... A wedding ceremony with the evil god of a haunted temple. A ghost wedding with the evil spirit of a deserted mansion. A sacrifice to the King of the Abyss. "We must be together forever. Not even death can part us." A low laugh comes from the darkness. "Darling, will you?" Jiang Chu: I don't... System: Warning!! Sanity has dropped by seventy percent. When it reaches zero, the player dies! Jiang Chu: I don't... really mind. :) Life is hard. To clear the game, Jiang Chu has no choice but to follow the plot first. [A strange shadow appears in the mirror. Choose: a. Win it over! b. Win it over!] [You're trapped in a room with no way out. A bloodstained wedding dress lies on the floor. Choose: a. Wear it just once. b. Wear it a billion times.] Jiang Chu: ???? I suspect you Systems are working together to mess with me. Is this really how you're supposed to play a game? Notes: 1. This isn't a stock-picking story, and the characters aren't split personalities. Every game's couple is the same pair. 2. A lot of details are made up and may not match reality _(:з"∠)_ Please don't mind. 3. The first game has a fake everyone-loves-the-protagonist setup. Everyone has unrequited feelings for the protagonist. 4. The anti-piracy setting is 50%. If you can't purchase, your subscription percentage hasn't reached the required amount. Check out my Coming Soon story: "The Whole World Doesn't Know I Can Fake My Death" Gu Jinghuan has mediocre talent, no family, and is an outer disciple in a tiny, shabby spirit-plant sect. Quiet yet dazzling, even when lazily tending spirit plants, he looks like an immortal gazing down from the heavens. Unfortunately, he has terrible luck. After offending someone, he is left plagued by chronic illness. They say he got caught up in the entanglement between a certain immortal sect's prodigy and that person's fated one. They say Gu Jinghuan devoted himself heart and soul without expecting anything in return, only to be betrayed by the person closest to him. Someone asks if he'd rather hide far away and live in seclusion in some remote corner to let his former love be with someone else. Gu Jinghuan gives a calm smile. It's because he made a deal with the System, and he only has three chances to fake his death. The first time, he is outwardly the astonishingly talented first disciple of the Sword Ancestor, but inwardly he is jealous of his junior fellow disciple and repeatedly attacks him from the shadows. In the end, his junior fellow disciple cruelly removes his sword bones. The second time, he is a great demon revered as the Imperial Preceptor, manipulating the emperor like a puppet and looming over the imperial city like a shadow. After reclaiming his throne, the emperor's first act is to seal him away for good. The third time, Gu Jinghuan becomes the young sect leader of the Corpse Soul Sect, sharing one body with another pure and innocent soul. By day, Gu Jinghuan robs and sets fires while his neighbor handles the bodies. By night, when righteous cultivators surround Gu Jinghuan, his neighbor takes over just before he dies. In the end, they go their separate ways, and Gu Jinghuan is slapped into oblivion by his corrupted neighbor. It was quite an experience. Let's not do it again. When he opens his eyes for the final time, he has finally shed the title of villain and can live a normal life. No more pushing himself to the limit, and no more testing the limits of his own depravity. ...At least, that's what he thought. When he sees his childhood friend chosen by an immortal sect and entangled with an inner disciple, while the head of the immortal sect is none other than the junior fellow disciple he once knew, Gu Jinghuan senses trouble. Especially when his junior fellow disciple seems to recognize him. The enemy from his past can only cling to his hand, his eyes quietly reddening. "...Jinghuan, I've missed you so much." Gu Jinghuan becomes even more nervous. This isn't right. System: Indeed, it isn't. We're professionals. We guarantee that no one can recognize you in any of your identities. Anyone who could recognize you has passed away. System: Oh no. System: No one's passed away. They're all alive. Theme:
