P.S. Honestly, I barely remember the original anymore. I've been rereading it lately, but for some other parts, I'm mostly writing from memory. (For example, I came up with my own image of the beautiful Esmeralda based on what I've imagined since childhood, with a little inspiration from the movie's design.)

I wrote this without thinking at all, just to make the story next door a little more plausible. Yes, the logic is full of fatal bugs, and the characters are OOC according to my own interpretation.
