Full Sugar, No Ice [Showbiz]

[The follow-up novel, Fake Composure, is now available! Check my profile!] [1] After movie star Jiang Shutong and rising "national first love" Shen Fu made their relationship public, netizens continued to passionately debate how the two had met and fallen in love. At last, one day, Jiang Shutong responded directly on Weibo. He posted a photo. In the blazing summer heat, beside an old-fashioned corner shop, a little girl was wolfing down an ice pop without a care in the world. She was even missing two front teeth. The caption read: [It has always been you.] The whole internet: ??? Is this seriously a childhood sweetheart thing? Furious at how badly the photo had ruined her image, Shen Fu chased someone from the living room to the study, threatening and tempting him to delete the post. Yet two hours later, Movie Star Jiang finally came back online. He edited the post, replacing the photo with another one. This time it was winter, with snow falling thick and fast. Beneath the wall of an old alley, a little girl held a sparkler. Her cheeks were rosy, and when she smiled, two tiny white teeth showed. Exhausted, Shen Fu collapsed onto the bed and replied to the post with a row of smiling faces. Hmm? Looks like you've still got some energy. Jiang Shutong slowly unbuttoned the buttons he had just fastened. [2] When Shen Fu was little, she had a mean older boy next door. He was always stealing her candy and teasing her. When she grew up, Shen Fu became a junior screenwriter, while that mean boy became a movie star. On screen, he was aloof, reserved, and elegant, a completely different person from before. Later, filming began on a new drama. On the first day on set, Jiang Shutong treated the whole cast and crew to milk tea. Shen Fu clearly remembered asking for half sugar and ice, but the drink was so sweet it made her frown. She checked the label: Shen Fu, full sugar, no ice Oh, the mean older boy was still the same mean older boy. Blurb for Fake Composure: 1. When Xie Tunan first met Qiao Muyun, she was a young woman in her early twenties: well-behaved and gentle, not much of a smiler, but quick to blush when teased, as pure as a blank sheet of paper. He knew she was a good girl from a good family. Too bad he wasn't a good man. 2. Everyone in Beicheng's upper circle knew that, for years, Young Master Xie had only ever had one woman by his side. She was quite the operator, always finding a way to get Young Master Xie to bring her out and remind everyone she existed. Just as everyone thought Young Master Xie was going to hang himself from that one tree, the woman finally disappeared for good. When they broke up, Qiao Muyun thought she had left without a trace. But how could she ever fool Xie Tunan? Xie Tunan was far too proud. He watched her coldly and never said a word to make her stay. And yet she dared to come back. 3. Later, no one could have imagined that the decisive, ruthless, cold-faced young heir of the Xie family would one day rein in all his sharp edges and say to a woman, "I was wrong." He placed a knife in her hand and pointed it at his own heart. "Stab me." "If you can't bring yourself to do that, then stay by my side." "Will you?" "Later, I understood that what made me miss you so desperately, what gnawed at my heart, wasn't those naked mornings tangled up in desire. It was you, and only you.", Xie Tunan Theme:
