Leaving Canaan [Western Fantasy]

First, a reading guide with potential dealbreakers: 1. Second-person narration! [If you can't handle that, please don't force yourself to read it.] 2. Happy ending, though the story might be a little strange. 3. Canaan: the Promised Land, a paradise. Blurb: There are no humans left outside. In the tenth year of demons running rampant across the world, you hide inside a sealed church, clutching the cross in your hand as you pray for salvation. Suddenly, a loud bang rings out. You turn around, and the door that had sheltered you has somehow opened. A strange man with blond hair and blue eyes walks toward you against the light. His white robes are spotless, and his expression is filled with compassion and pity. He says, "Quick, come with me." As if possessed, you grip the hand he holds out to you, and from then on begin a strange and wondrous life.
