South Tower of the Small Town [Mystery]

Announcement: A free short story. I think this is the most pure-hearted couple in my collection, hehe. In a nutshell: The Little Town of Nanta Murder Case Pairing: Scruffy, solitary top x taciturn, mute, cool bottom Deep in the heart of the western wilderness of Selsas State. With bedrock exposed and hardly a soul in sight, the endless landscape of desolate Gobi, salt flats, and alkaline wasteland concealed a border town with a beautiful name: Nanta. Cut off from the outside world and with terrible reception, it was known only to seasoned backpackers. Li Yin and his friend Xue Fandian planned a trip. They flew out of Neisuli State, changed buses along the way, then hired a car for the final three-day, two-night drive. They were going to stay with Old George, an online friend Xue Fandian had known by reputation for three years. Apparently, he provided food and lodging specifically for backpackers. · The top was the wolf Old George kept tied up in the yard. Covered in scars and painfully emaciated, he had suffered terrible abuse. After waiting half a year, he finally found a chance to escape. Dragging his battered body, he ran twenty kilometers through the night to the town of Nanta and begged the customers at a restaurant for food. Everyone else scorned him and kicked him. Only Li Yin took pity on him and gave him three potato cakes. After eating, the top planned to keep running. But then he heard the young man who had shared his food talking to a local, and learned he was also going to stay at Old George’s house… The potato cakes in his stomach were already impossible to throw up. The top’s icy blue eyes fixed nervously on Li Yin. After hesitating for a long while, he finally turned and ran all the way back in the direction he had escaped from! Because his “master,” Old George, had just killed the previous backpacker the night before, and the body was still in the storeroom… He couldn’t let this man move in. 1. The top is a wolf who can take human form. He has no name, and the bottom gives him one later. 2. The setting and era are entirely fictional. I made everything up, so don’t look for real-life inspirations! 3. Some rebuilding. This is my first time writing a handsome, taciturn mute bottom, and I’m really excited, hehe. ○ Other than a happy ending, nothing is guaranteed. Core theme: Whether it takes one year, five years, or ten, the truth will eventually come to light and everything will be revealed.
