A Bankrupt Middle-Aged Man Meets a Dog God Husband

He Ming used to be a good-for-nothing young heir who took life as a joke. He spent his days walking his dog and teasing his birds, doing nothing at all and acting however he pleased. He lived selfishly until the age of thirty-five, when his parents died in a car accident and his family fell into ruin. Unable to do anything for himself, he was stripped of his inheritance by his own uncle and thrown out of the family home.

Just as he was down in the dumps, convinced his life was over, he came across a filthy stray dog.

He took the stray dog back to his rented place and cleaned it up. He was about to give it the last sausage in the house, thinking that once the dog ate it, he would have nothing left. But after finishing the sausage, the dog spoke to him. "I am the eighteenth-generation God of Wealth worshipped by your family, the Dog God Junya. With me around, you'll never have to worry about food or clothing for the rest of your life."

He Ming didn't believe it. He thought he must have some serious illness, since he was hearing a stray dog talk.

It wasn't until his luck kept getting better and he received opportunities that a good-for-nothing like him could never have gotten that he finally believed what Junya had said.
