General, Your Secret Identity Is Showing

Female lead's version:

Su Yu, the young general of the Su family, is handsome and talented. She has studied military strategy since childhood and is skilled with all kinds of weapons. At a young age, she followed her father into battle and won great distinction, making her the dream lover of countless young women in the capital. As a poem in the capital goes: If you become an official, become a minister; if you marry, marry a man of the Su family.

But in truth, the dashing young general is a woman, a woman through and through.

An imperial edict arranges her marriage to a beautiful wife.

Su Yu: ...

From then on, the young general lives from five in the morning until nine at night, afraid that one careless moment will expose her little secret.

Until one day, she discovers that her wife's body seems to be different from hers.

Male lead's version:

As a miserable former member of the imperial family, I was born on the day my country fell, so I never got to enjoy even one good day. But at least I had parents who loved me. To protect me, they dressed me in women's clothes.

Hairpins and skirts did nothing to affect my heart of steel. I studied and trained in martial arts through both bitter winters and scorching summers, all so that one day I could openly wear men's clothes and make a name for myself.

But before I could finish my training, I was betrothed to a man.

I was terrified every day that my secret would be discovered, but he didn't seem very interested in me. Even when we shared a bed, we slept under separate blankets. Little by little, I let my guard down, until the day I opened his wardrobe and found a complete set of women's clothes inside.

1. A fictional setting, basically nonsense. Historical nitpicking is not welcome.

2. Both leads have secret identities, and they have a mutual crush. Once their identities are revealed, the story is sweet and satisfying all the way to the bottom of the sea, twenty thousand leagues down.

3. Two drama queens competing to see who can act better.
