After I Became the Heroine of an Angsty Novel

Newly hired web-fiction editor Xue Zhuye signed a melodramatic Republican-era romance novel. After reading it, Xue Zhuye said:

This won't do. The male lead's abuse of the female lead early on is too mild. How are you supposed to make readers angry?

This part won't do either. When the male lead is with the second female lead, he can still calmly think about whether she's right or wrong? Why write an angsty romance, then? You might as well write a sweet romance.

And what is this part? The female lead just fakes her death like that? This is an angsty romance! The whole point is the angst!

Later, Xue Zhuye transmigrated into this Republican-era novel.

Thinking back to what she had said while telling the author to revise the story, not only did her face hurt, her whole body hurt.

I was wrong, I was wrong. If I'd known I'd transmigrate into a book, why didn't I tell the author to write a doting romance...

I'm out, I'm out. Male lead and second female lead, you two take care of yourselves. We'll part ways and leave each other in peace.

Whoever wants to be the heroine of this body-and-heart-torturing angst story can have the job~

1. The male lead is not the original male lead from the novel.

2. I'll add more if I think of anything~
