[Bungo Stray Dogs + Katekyo Hitman Reborn!] Height Is No Barrier

He Lianjian had always felt that her life took a wrong turn when she met that big shot with the yellow pacifier and beady eyes. At the time, he wasn't her boss yet, and she was still a nobody from some backwater village, just nineteen years old. "You've got potential, young lady. How about it? There's an undercover assignment that needs someone suitable." "Undercover? ...Is that really in fashion? Where am I going undercover, a government agency?" "The Port Mafia. What do you think?" "...I don't think that'll work." A year later. "See? It worked out just fine. Nice job, Hasumi. You completed the mission and made a clean escape, and even slept with one of their executives. You got your money's worth and then some. Feng will be amazed at how much you've grown." "..." "Congratulations. He's handsome, even if he's not very tall." "...Mr. Reborn, please be kind, considering you and my uncle are colleagues." "Are you stupid enough to think the Mafia should be kind? Go read A History of the Vongola's Rise to Power and Great Works by the Bosses of Every Generation ten times, then hand in a ten-thousand-word book report." "Don't make things up. Since when did we have books like that?" "You're an executive in the Outside Advisor faction and you don't even know what books you're required to read? You've still got a long way to go, you idiot Hasumi." Today, too, He Lianjian wants to rise up and overthrow her superior's exploitation. The Boss says he wants to join her cause. Then He Lianjian looks at the respected, Vongola's conscience, Tenth Generation Boss embedded in the wall, and decides that people really should keep their feet on the ground. "In this cold world, only a cat's fur has any warmth left. Mr. Gokudera, lend me your melon." Note: 1. Updates whenever I feel like it. This was written on a whim, so feel free to read it casually. 2. This is for fun, not logic. Thanks for understanding.
