One day, Zhao Yixu opened a webpage and felt her head spin. The red moon before her eyes seemed to grow larger with every passing moment, until it became a sheet of red that enveloped her. Then she sank into darkness.

When she woke up again, she had transmigrated to another world, with a little golden finger to boot.

The decaying city, the listless, skeletal passersby, and the grotesque monsters that periodically attacked the city made survival in this other world incredibly difficult.

With the help of a kind stranger, Zhao Yixu became a low-level wage worker.

Zhao Yixu was dumbfounded.

After creating their characters, players could explore the scenery in the game's fixed locations from every angle. The projections beneath the protective light looked around, their faces full of curiosity and delight.

"Wow, this is the most realistic-looking game world I've seen in years!"

"I hereby declare the dawn of a new era for full-dive games! No wonder this new world went global as soon as it was announced."

"They haven't even announced the races, classes, or other gameplay content yet. Judging by the atmosphere, it probably has some fantastical elements too. I'm so curious about the setting and worldbuilding."

Zhao Yixu stared wide-eyed at the projections. She heard one in front of her laugh and say, "Hey, this NPC's facial expressions are really realistic too! That's the most lifelike surprised expression I've ever seen in a game!"

Before she could say anything, someone patted her on the shoulder. She turned around and saw her teacher smiling warmly at her before making a "shh" gesture.

Zhao Yixu nodded stiffly.
