A Crane Rides the Clouds

Two thousand years ago, the Crane God, one of the malevolent Tai Sui spirits, inexplicably fell from the mortal realm, throwing the flow of time and the bonds between people into chaos. His memories were sealed, and he was sent back into the cycle of reincarnation. - Only after Lu Shen signed a contract to become a streamer did he learn that Cloud Live was a base established by the divine realm to manage fallen gods and banished immortals living among mortals. And he was the reincarnation of one such unfortunate fallen immortal. In this life, he had to accumulate merit, heed people's prayers, and personally bring people together to repay the karmic debts his former immortal self had incurred. To pay off an extremely expensive karmic debt whose details were unclear, he helped ghosts find their pets, planned a wedding for a fox spirit, and even delivered a baby for someone amid the ruins of the apocalypse... He'd do anything to retire and end his contract. When the final payment came through and his debt was cleared, Lu Shen happily prepared to hang up his boots. Then he received a new dream interpretation request. With retirement just around the corner, Lu Shen immediately clicked Decline, only for the administrator to reject it. This client's request was mandatory. - Young Master Fu had visited countless temples and Buddhist monasteries, all to find someone who could interpret his dreams. He seemed to keep dreaming of things from the distant past... Someone emerged from a clash of blades and shadows, hanging a string of bloodstained coins from the rafters each day, their clear chimes carried by the wind. ...In the dream, they kissed amid drifting crane feathers. But when he met that person again, he discovered that the man who had been inseparable from him in his dreams now wanted nothing more than to take the money and run! *Spendthrift, money-can-buy-anything top x miserly con-artist bottom *Past life and present life √ rekindled romance √ Original blurb: 2020.1.14, revised 2023.2.28 (screenshot...)
