Mr. Catnip

Gu Miao swears he only closed his eyes for a quick rest at a cat cafe, but a strange customer mistook him for a cat.

The other man gently woke him, held his breath, and cautiously poked his dimple with a fingertip. “Have you become a spirit?”

Gu Miao blinked groggily, and an extraordinarily alluring face came into view.

The man wore a perfectly tailored suit, his enchanting eyes sizing Gu Miao up. Bewitched by his looks, Gu Miao couldn’t help but say, “Meow?”

Before long, he had gained a master... No, a boyfriend.

Shang Jinhe is rich, handsome, and emotionally stable. His only apparent problem is that he has a bit of a perception disorder:

Whenever he sees cat hair on Gu Miao, he reminds him to groom himself. He’s always holding Gu Miao’s palm and even brings freeze-dried snacks along on dates.

Gu Miao: Me? A person? Eating this?

Shang Jinhe: There’s more if you want. We can bring some for the other little cats, too.

One day, Gu Miao catches Shang Jinhe studying Cat Behavior and Psychology while he sleeps. He decides things can’t go on like this.

Gu Miao confesses with a serious face: Actually, I’m not a cat, and I can’t turn into one.

Shang Jinhe: I know.

Gu Miao: ?

Shang Jinhe: I thought you liked it this way.

Gu Miao: ??

Shang Jinhe: It’s fine. Just think of me as a biped who took the bait.
