The Yin-Yang Inn

[The heroine has no romantic pairing]

On the day Meng Huai came of age, the people who had adopted her kicked her out and gave her an old, dilapidated inn. The business license was already in place; all that remained was for the owner to take over.

Easy enough. Who can't run an inn?

But when she arrived, she discovered the place had been built on a desolate mountain with not a soul in sight. How was she supposed to run an inn here?

Of course, the mountain wasn't entirely deserted. There were no people, but there were plenty of ghosts.

Blind Mountain is a ghost mountain. Living people who enter are bound to get trapped by ghostly illusions, lose the way down, and eventually waste away on the mountain. For decades, no one had dared spend the night there.

Then a pale-faced young woman opened an inn on the mountain, giving those brave enough to venture up Blind Mountain somewhere to stay.

They say Boss Meng is formidable. Even fierce ghosts lower their heads when they see her.

Someone checked into the inn late at night, shivering from the icy yin energy. Remembering the rumors about Blind Mountain, he asked through chattering teeth, "Boss, there aren't any ghosts in your inn, are there?"

Meng Huai: "Of course not. There are no ghosts in the world."

The ghosts crammed into every corner of the inn: "..."

Meng Huai narrowed her eyes: "Hmm?"

The ghosts nodded furiously: "That's right, that's right. The boss is right. There are no ghosts in this world!"
