The Invisible Fiancé

Xu Ci was the true heiress of a wealthy family, raised away from home until her biological parents found her at eighteen. She had a face far too beautiful and striking.

Her unyielding nature and excessively sharp beauty made her seem like an outsider in the Zhou family.

So naturally, when the Zhou family needed to arrange a marriage alliance with the Ji family, Xu Ci was sent straight to the home of Ji Chenchuan, a man notorious for his vicious reputation.

Xu Ci had already prepared for the worst, but later discovered that the husband forced upon her... didn't seem to like this marriage either.

After all, from the day the marriage was arranged, Ji Chenchuan had never once met with her. He simply left her alone in the vast, shadowy mansion.

Xu Ci was happy to enjoy the peace and quiet. She had no idea that, to outsiders, it looked as though the brutal and cruel Ji Chenchuan had imprisoned her. She only occasionally encountered a few small troubles:

The flowers her friends sent her all wilted overnight;

At night, she often had the feeling that someone was watching her from beside the bed;

For some reason, faint tooth marks appeared on her ring finger...

One day, Xu Ci fell down the stairs, but a pair of transparent arms caught her firmly. The unexpected sensation made her heart grow warm.

Xu Ci pondered for a long time. "Were you a ghost who was killed by Ji Chenchuan?"

Ji Chenchuan: ...

On the day of the wedding, Ji Chenchuan once again failed to show up as expected. Everyone was ready to laugh at Xu Ci, but just as the bells began to ring, a peerlessly handsome man emerged from the darkness and slipped a ring onto the finger of the bride in her wedding dress.

Ji Chenchuan had been secretly in love with a girl for a long time. She was the dazzling beauty he had fallen for when he was young.

He had imagined countless ways to get close to her. He had imagined keeping her imprisoned in his arms forever, making her look at no one but him with those tear-bright eyes. But he never imagined... that she would take his hand of her own accord.

Everything you see is the love I have kept hidden in my heart.
