A Sacrifice's Guide to Self-Rescue

Jiang Jin transmigrated into a book.

The original character was a textbook black-lotus supporting villainess. After repeatedly failing to drive a wedge between the male and female leads, she was abandoned by them and became a sacrifice to an evil spirit.

When Jiang Jin arrived, she was sitting in a Buddhist pagoda with a group of people dressed in sacrificial robes.

The evil spirit turned into black mist and devoured the sacrifices. Amid their wails, Jiang Jin reached out of her own accord and offered herself to him.

She spoke earnestly: "I'm willing to offer myself to you, but for the sake of sustainability, could I make the offerings in installments?"

The evil spirit chuckled in the darkness. "You can."

She managed to hold out for a while. Then one day, the pagoda imprisoning the evil spirit suddenly collapsed.

Jiang Jin took the opportunity to escape. On the way, she ran into the male and female leads, and the female lead took her in again, pitying her tragic circumstances.

Following the principle of keeping her head down whenever possible, she stayed quietly by the female lead's side and never caused trouble.

Until one day, the female lead rescued another person.

He was a handsome young man with striking features.

Modest and gentle, he soon earned the trust of the male and female leads. Everyone praised his integrity and kindness, saying he was as radiant as a jade tree and an unparalleled young immortal.

Only Jiang Jin knew that this young immortal was neither upright nor kind.

Every night, he would turn into black mist and become the evil spirit again, whispering softly in her ear:

"A Jin... It's time to make an offering."
