[Naruto] Onegin

This is a very belated birthday fic (how many centuries late is it now?). The premise is based on Eugene Onegin. At this joyous moment, after always making Madara Uchiha the one who gets cheated on in my stories, I've finally let him be the one to cheat on someone else. "Madara Uchiha (Onegin), a promising young man from a distinguished family, rudely rejected the devoted love of Renko (Tatyana), a beautiful and innocent fifteen-year-old girl. She wrote him letter after letter confessing her love, and he disdainfully threw them into the fire. At her family's arrangement, and partly out of spite, Renko resolutely married the son of the prominent Asakura family. Six years later, the war was over. At a banquet, Madara happened to meet Renko again, now a married woman, Lady Asakura. She was radiant, and everyone present was captivated by her. The only flaw was that she was in poor health, so her husband had to appear solicitous as he sought doctors and medicine for her, while still finding time to carouse and philander elsewhere..." "She was young, beautiful, and melancholy, and so possessed an innate grace and elegance. She had long known that no news in this world could ever make her happy again, so she simply went about her days cheerfully, laughing and joking whether in public or in private."
