The protagonist of this story was inspired by the "new prince" metaphorically described by Machiavelli in The Prince and Discourses on Livy.
But she is not merely a Machiavellian figure. She is also a composite of several modern and contemporary figures. As for who they are, I won't say, haha.
"This prince will stand on the foundation of the 'popolare [people]' to establish the unity of Italy. From all these analyses, we understand that to appeal to the people is also to appeal to struggle, and this struggle is the class struggle between the people and the nobility. Therefore, it is also a matter of asking the prince to win the people's friendship, or, to speak plainly, to form an alliance with the people against the nobility, against those vassals who are condemned in Machiavelli's stern words for living without working, and thereby fulfill his historical mission."
Louis Althusser, Machiavelli's Solitude
"If I have any true allies, they are in opposition, not in government."
Hoshino Sai, the protagonist of this story
"You, the people, answered his call and overthrew the so-called 'feudal lords,' only to bring an emperor upon yourselves!"
Joint statement by the daimyo of various nations
"I respect Hoshino Sai because he is a person of complete self-sacrifice, wholeheartedly devoted to achieving social justice. I do not think his methods are practical, but one thing is certain: people like him are the guardians and renewers of humanity's conscience."
Tobirama
(PS: This quote is adapted from Einstein's remarks about Lenin. It is not meant to compare Sai to Lenin, but rather to poke fun at Tobirama's scientist side.)
"...I feel he is, in the truest sense, our contemporary, our brother, our family, and our ally... In my eyes, his views have nothing whatsoever to do with the strange, lofty, 'insurmountable horizons of thought' that outsiders attribute to him... He is approachable, I mean, someone we can get close to, closely connected to our times... I believe that Konoha's aims and his overlap to a great degree, even tending toward complete agreement... To some extent, you could call me a 'Hoshino Sai-ist,' if that term is currently used to refer to the spirit of our age, with its basic values of humanity, freedom, equality, and the sovereignty of the people. To be honest, I wholeheartedly support and endorse all of that, and Konoha will put it into practice in the future, too... If he wishes to draw closer to Konoha, then my dear friend Uchiha Madara and my younger brother Senju Tobirama would naturally welcome him..."
Excerpt from "I'm a Hoshino Sai-ist", A Conversation with the Great Leader of Our Time, Senju Hashirama
(PS: Some lines are adapted from Sartre's remarks about Marx. This is all just for fun, so don't take it seriously, lol.)
"These days, anyone can call themselves a Hoshino Sai-ist... But I, of all people, have to say that I'm not one."
Hoshino Sai (winks)
"When someone does this, I usually assume they're a man... What, you think he might be a woman?"
Uchiha Madara
"Not only that... she's also someone from your past. Take a look for yourself."
Senju Tobirama, handing him a newspaper.
...After a long moment, the hand holding the newspaper began to tremble.
"There's no need for you to marry me and take care of me for the rest of my life in place of my sister. The only person I want to marry in this world is a hero among heroes, Hoshino Sai. I've even gone ahead and changed my surname to Hoshino."
Uchiha Chitaki
"Nonsense!"
Uchiha Madara
"Not for any other reason... just because the way he acts reminds me of my sister."
Chitaki
"...What utter nonsense..."
Madara, too angry to know what to say
"You're saying Hoshino Sai... is my sister?!" (There's nothing wrong with taking your sister's surname, lol.)
"What I wonder is, how could someone like you have come from our soil?"
Uchiha Izuna
...Well, that's a long story. Looks up at the sky.
As you can see, this is a character-growth novel. You could change the protagonist's gender to male and it would still work. I just personally prefer women. You can't live without women, lol.
This is a story about the protagonist answering the call within and choosing "to become," ultimately growing into someone "who can calmly consort with rogues and thieves, yet join forces with those who uphold true justice, so that nothing in the world can sway her heart."
The specific goal is to achieve the accomplishment of getting the four bigwigs in the founding group to "light a cigarette for the protagonist" (what a bizarre idea, runs away).
PS: I mean literally lighting a cigarette, with no other symbolic meaning, because she really does smoke (winks). And since a few of them are rather tsundere, lighting her cigarette in bed also counts toward the accomplishment (runs away).

Tell a ghost story, the author went to hand in his homework! Never came back again
Regarding Article 8 "Eternal Rebellion", Mr. Lu Xun comes to mind. When he was an official in the Ministry of Education of the Beiyang Government and took money from the Beiyang Government, he criticized the Beiyang Government; when he was a teacher in a National Government school and took money from the National Government, he supported the student rebel principal and criticized the National Government; when he became the chairman of the "Left-Left Alliance", because the main contradiction shifted and the Kuomintang and the Communist Party cooperated, he also cursed that he could not give up criticizing the authorities. In the end, the "Left-Left Alliance" disbanded, and Lu Xun was "angry to death." I thought, "The critical spirit is a bad disease. Once you contract it, you will never be able to get rid of it."
No, this Izumi Nana is so cute! My friend Ji will definitely scream when she sees it 23333
Oh my gosh, this Izuna is a fashionista.
Ah! ! ! Izuna! This Izuna is so cute! If you want to hug me, run away
I hope the heroine can keep her skin peeling off
What Nana said sounded like a martial arts hero.
Don't leave behind the reference books! ! !
Apocalypse, a close friend and brother, talks about his ideals. Coupled with Madara, a steely gay man, Judy can still remain calm. He is really a steely man.
