The Monster's Book

Shen Yuan Guang is a yokai novelist, folklorist, and descendant of an onmyoji family. He keeps two shikigami at home, Cang Ye and Ling Zhen. He's laid-back and easygoing, but oddly fussy about certain things. Lately, he's been a little troubled by how yokai keep showing up at his house... Ling Zhen has plenty of complaints about it, too. "Snow Woman, why do you have to come to our house in winter? Can't you come in summer?" "You damn fox, how dare you steal our fried tofu! You're asking for a beating!" "Hey, hey, hey! Kappa, why are you soaking in our bathtub again?" The other shikigami, Cang Ye, was enjoying tea with the Nurarihyon. Cang Ye took a leisurely sip. "Ah, what a peaceful day." Shen Yuan Guang, busy meeting his writing deadline, shot him a look. "It's obviously noisy as hell!" All characters, stories, and groups in this book are fictional. Any resemblance is purely coincidental.
