The End.
My next novel, The Heart-Reading Oddball, is now underway. Its blurb is below.
Blurb:
In public, Gu Yi is Rong Chumian's personal assistant. In private, Gu Yi is his secret lover.
To outsiders, Rong Chumian is notorious in showbiz for being difficult: cold, fastidious, obsessive-compulsive, a sexist straight man, exceptionally capable, domineering, and petty.
To Gu Yi, though, Rong Chumian is like a child who never grew up: cute, childish, a shameless tease, yet also gentle and considerate.
Every time they made love, Rong Chumian would whisper "Yiyi" in his ear, giving him goosebumps from head to toe.
But their sweet, happy times were like a dream, destined to shatter. One day, Gu Yi bought the coffee Rong Chumian had requested and went to take it back to the lounge. He was standing at the door, about to go in, when he heard voices inside: Rong Chumian and his manager, Liang Song.
"What's going on between you and your little assistant?"
"What do you mean?"
"Are you serious about him?"
"No."
"Then why?"
"He just reminds me of that shadow in my memories. That's all."
Gu Yi heard every word outside the door. His hand tightened, spilling half the coffee. So he was a replacement, and not even for a person, but for a shadow.
Gu Yi's eyes turned cold. "Rong Chumian, you're something else."
The next day, the rumor #Rong Chumian's Assistant Is Secretly Dating Rising Idol Shen Luo# shot to the top of the trending list.
Rong Chumian gripped Gu Yi's shoulders. "Explain."
Gu Yi's face was expressionless. "There's nothing to explain. It's just what it looks like."
Rong Chumian's anger surged. He gritted his teeth. "Gu Yi!"
Gu Yi smiled. "That's right. I did it on purpose."
Warnings:
Updates around midnight, daily or every other day depending on circumstances.
A scheming, sweet-acting bottom vs. a domineering, goofy top. Neither is a good person.
A story about an actor and his assistant. No real-life inspiration, so don't assume otherwise.
A story of mutual healing.

Next novel: The Heart-Reading Oddball
A bolt of lightning grants him a supernatural ability.
A tentacled oddball who can read people's hearts.
Wrongful convictions are overturned, old cases are solved.
*
A murder case known as "Red Shoes," closed twenty years ago, suddenly takes a turn. An innocent person has become the fall guy, while the real culprit may have escaped. The victim's family files petitions and cries out for justice. Before long, the whole country is discussing the case, and public opinion is in an uproar. The police form a special investigation team to reopen the long-cold case.
Xi Jing is chosen for the team and quickly named a leading candidate to head it. His rival is Ji Shiyu, a prominent figure at the Public Security Bureau. Both are well-known "big shots" in the department, not only for their abilities but also their personalities. The former has a fiery temper and flies off the handle at the slightest provocation. The latter is taciturn and cold-hearted. Put simply, neither is someone to mess with.
On the first day the special task force is formed, the two meet for the first time.
Xi Jing and Ji Shiyu politely shake hands, and Xi Jing's face immediately falls. This guy just called him a delicate little baby in his thoughts.
He's obviously a strapping young man. How is he delicate? Xi Jing instantly loses his temper and shouts, "I'm a six-foot-tall man, you idiot!"
Ji Shiyu pauses. "???" He looks Xi Jing up and down, then asks skeptically, "Are you sure you're six feet tall?"
Xi Jing is furious and humiliated, but has no answer, because he's still two inches short of six feet.
One day, much later, Ji Shiyu takes Xi Jing's hand of his own accord.
Xi Jing panics and pulls away at once, staring at the man in disbelief.
Ji Shiyu grins mischievously. "You know how I feel now, don't you?"
Xi Jing glares, unable to say a word. This well-dressed beast actually wants to make a move on him.
What do you do when a beast refuses to play by the rules?

Theme: Mutual healing, born because of you.
Gu Yi must be Gu Mian. It was his younger brother who died, but his older brother survived! (Blind guess)
I met a male classmate in real life. He was indeed bisexual, but his female genitals were inside his body. Later he had sex reassignment surgery...
Generally speaking, Mianmian was called home and asked to donate her heart to her younger brother, and then she had this so-called accident. Her younger brother probably died before the operation, and then she was raised as a younger brother because of the mistake.
Thank you very much for the limited exemption. I like this article very much. To be honest, I didn't expect such an ending at all. I thought that the shadow was Gu Yi, but I didn't expect that it was Gu Yi's brother, and I didn't expect that Gu Yi was Gu Mian. I was surprised and liked it very much, but I always felt that the handling was a bit sloppy. Well, maybe it was an illusion. Oh, it's all trivial.
Finally, I say a few words and scatter flowers, wishing you great peace and joy!
I didn't expect that the subsequent speculation turned out to be the truth. Fortunately, it was the two of them.
I'm finally going to see the truth of what I guessed
So one child still died.

I seriously doubt that he was his own stand-in
Hiss, why? It makes me a little depressed.
Why are there such rubbish parents in this world?
