Shiraishi-kun's Energy-Saving Deskmate

A serious crisis has hit Soma Asagao's life!

She and Rima performed an impeccable "Balance, balance!" routine at the comedy competition, and their classmate, who was also competing, caught them!

The persona everyone at school knows her for, a low-energy girl who never laughs, doesn't understand comedy, has a weirdly "delayed" sense of humor, and never makes a retort, is about to collapse into ruins!

Shiraishi is like winter sunshine, indispensable and captivating.

Laughing out loud like Shiraishi seems pretty nice, too.

The question is, what are the odds she'll take Shiraishi out today?

Asagao looks so cute doing the Balance, balance routine!

"Ah, yeah-- Ecstasy!" Shiraishi gestured exaggeratedly, signaling Soma Asagao to join in the iconic bit from the comedy competition.

Soma Asagao: "..."

She watched her schoolmates clutching their stomachs with laughter and crawling around on the ground. She couldn't help saying, "Even I would get tired of hearing that after four years. Is that the only joke in Shiraishi's joke book?"

Shiraishi: "Whoa! You finally learned to make a retort, Soma!"

"Shiraishi, what's with that strange, kindly, self-satisfied look?"

"Nice! Keep that expression and let's do Balance, balance together, Asagao!"

"..."

Another day, another time Soma Asagao wants to take Shiraishi out.
