The White-Faced Boy's Struggle

Bai Ke never imagined he would return to the age of fourteen, when he was in the eighth grade. He stood frozen in front of a dilapidated wooden door in a narrow alley, listening to an old man inside groping his mother, who worked as a masseuse. His mother could only struggle and curse at him. Bai Ke listened to her cursing, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath. Then he turned and borrowed a kitchen knife from Aunt Wang, his neighbor, who was cooking. He kicked open the door and charged inside. In his first life, the male lead was a pretty boy. His father remarried, his mother died young, and a rich woman kept him. He learned nothing except how to please people with his piano playing, singing, and cooking. Now that he has another chance, he wants nothing more than to live well and stand on his own two feet, and to help his mother escape the fate she once suffered. The protagonist is the uke. The seme is his class monitor, and the story has a childhood-sweetheart romance.
