The Clan's Legitimate Daughter

Important information up front: The female lead really is scheming!!!!! After her father dies, the legitimate eldest daughter first battles her own uncle, who is trying to seize power from her, and becomes the head of her clan. Then she takes on the powerful clan opposed to her family, carves out a territory in Bayu, and becomes its independent ruler. Finally, she joins forces with the male lead to claim the realm. If that's not your cup of tea, please don't read. In the final years of the Qinglong era, the princes carved up the realm and fought for control of the Central Plains. Five alien tribes from beyond the frontier seized the chaos as an opportunity to claim the Central Plains, launching a massive invasion and slaughtering and plundering their way across the land. The realm was thrown into turmoil, imperial authority collapsed, and all rites and order fell apart. Every prince perished in the calamity, leaving behind only one surviving member of the imperial house, who called himself Crown Prince Qingyu. Afterward, the old classes of scholars, farmers, artisans, and merchants collapsed. Seven great clans took control of strategic resources such as grain, soldiers, medicine, silver, and horses. Rising to prominence, they joined forces to raise troops and drive out the invaders. Later, they jointly recognized Crown Prince Qingyu as emperor and established the capital at Luoyang. In truth, however, the north and south remained divided, splitting the realm between them. Thus began an era of joint rule by the clans. Seven clans divide the realm; on Yunling Peak, ordinary iron is made extraordinary. Willows darken, horses neigh, and we flee; when the winds of change rise, peace is no more. A hundred miles of lake, a hundred miles of blood; a thousand miles of mountains and rivers, a thousand-mile alliance. The golden spears and iron steeds remain to this day; we shall pacify the realm and plan for ten thousand generations. Female lead: Ji Min, head of the Ji clan. Male lead: Fang Qianghong, head of the Fang clan. Neither depends on the other. Together, two strong people will join forces to pacify the realm.
