This Damn Sweetness

A sweet beginning Xu Qiao is working the night shift at a toll booth. Near dawn, she's nodding off like a pecking chicken when a gentle, wealthy driver wakes her. “You looked so peaceful asleep that I couldn't bring myself to wake you, but I'm in a hurry to get through the toll. Sorry.” Xu Qiao's heart falls for him on the spot. From then on, she works the night shift every day. A week later, dark circles under her eyes, she complains to her girlfriends at a bar. “We've had so many midnight encounters, so why hasn't he asked for my number?” Just then, she hears a conversation behind her. “For some girl, I've been driving around the highway every night instead of sleeping. I'm so tired my eyes keep drooping.” “Stop pretending to be a gentleman and just go ask for her number.” “It's just that she looks so innocent, I can't bring myself to make a move.” Xu Qiao slowly turns around and clears her throat. “Sorry to interrupt, but she might not be as innocent as you think...” “...” A sweet happily-ever-after Xu Qiao: My rule for relationships is that I never back down after a fight. Cheng Lang: My rule for relationships is that I never get back together after a breakup. After a few days of the cold war: Xu Qiao: “Honey, give me a hug.” Cheng Lang: “My little princess, come home with me.” *Synopsis archived in November 2018.
