Soft Jade, Warm Fragrance

When A Ruan first met him, it was at the Lantern Festival.

He rode a white horse, his robes fluttering in the breeze.

Holding a little notebook, A Ruan wondered how to strike up a conversation with him. She'd written down that she should first praise his unparalleled good looks and be extra attentive.

She pondered how to compliment him and flirt with him until his knees went weak.

Who knew she'd get so absorbed in her book that she wouldn't even notice a carriage racing toward her from behind?

The instant the carriage struck her, she fell into his arms. He held her tightly, smiling faintly. "Whose child are you? Don't you know to watch out for carriages?"

Hearing his voice, little Princess A Ruan could only think to reply, "Yours."
