The Sword Immortal's Character Collapse

Jiang Yubai transmigrated twice in all.

Once, he was a reclusive sword immortal renowned throughout the world. The other time, he was a sickly young master who was half dead with consumption.

In his first life, he became Zhou Yan's master. He was supposed to be a cold, aloof NPC who handed his disciple a golden finger and then sent him down the mountain. But in the end, he softened and played favorites, pampering the disciple who was meant to be the hero of a story about vying for supremacy until he turned it into a farming-life story.

In his next life, his disciple finally made something of himself. Jiang Yubai, meanwhile, was forcibly given to Zhou Yan as a "male concubine." He came with all the filters of being a brilliant talent who might topple over in a breeze, yet he would draw his sword at the slightest disagreement, always seek revenge, and was pampered and fussy.

Jiang Yubai: Breaking character gets easier the second time around.

1. The protagonist is charming, powerful, and beautiful.

2. The martial world and the imperial court both get their share of the story.

Theme: Sigh.
