[Kuroko's Basketball: Akashi] Ashes

I already have the gray lock, so why give me a red lock too...? I have no words. Do whatever you want! Lock it if you like!

Notice:

This is a revised version of Fight. The pairing is Akashi X original male protagonist. If that's a dealbreaker for you, don't read it! And don't come here to rant!

After weighing everyone's opinions against my own convictions, I've decided to release two versions, an inside version and an outside version. The former is more personal, while the latter is more mainstream.

Plot

Inside version: Baiki and Akashi were "good kids," but "good kid" was not a compliment when it came to them. As children, they sacrificed themselves for their families and became the "good kids" adults wanted them to be.

Only when they grew up did they realize they were the ashes left behind by their families' selfish, world-burning ambitions...

Confusion and pain are ordeals one must endure to become independent. Should they keep playing the "good kids" their parents expect, or change into rebellious, disobedient versions of themselves?

"Date me and make my father angry."

Outside version:

Nineteen-year-old Baiki goes on a beach vacation with former high school classmates, including Orii. Orii also brings Misaki Karijo, a girl he met at university. Baiki likes Orii, and knows Orii is pursuing Misaki.

Torn by his feelings, he goes to a sea cave. A flash of brilliant white light and the seawater carry him 17 years into the future.

There, he meets Akashi, who treats him with unconditional kindness, though he doesn't understand why.

Now 35, Akashi is being forced to break up with Baiki for practical reasons involving his family, company, position, and assets. Seeing the younger Baiki brings back the impulsive, illogical, boundless, and wildly romantic love he once felt, filling him with life again.

But at the same time, he is afraid to tell the young Baiki that he abandoned him. The younger Baiki would never understand.

He does everything in his power to stop Baiki from learning what happened over those 17 years...
