A Quiet Romance with a Sly Bear (The Prince of Tennis)

"Everyone's love story has its own special moments. Whether quiet or passionate, they are memories worth treasuring for a lifetime."

"When you fall in love, you fall in love. It was only after I met him that I realized all my previous crushes had been nothing but empty fantasies. I admit that Shuujirou Fuji captivated me. Maybe he had already won me over the first time we truly met."

"Some people spend their whole lives swinging wildly between extremes, only finding the person they truly love at the very end. But the love he and I share is the kind most people experience. No crying in sorrow, no tears of grief, just a quiet love worth savoring for the rest of our lives."

From The Lan Quotations

"I don't like roller-coaster romances, and I don't want to experience love mixed with hate. She and I are simply enjoying the quiet love that most people deserve to have."

"As for our first meeting, I only thought she was an interesting girl. But whether you call it attraction or affection, I still can't explain how I fell for a girl who always says such surprising things. I only know that I love her, and that I'm in even deeper than I expected."

From Fuji's Memoirs

Characters from this story, including Xiyu and Siyi, also appear in my other Prince of Tennis fanfic, A Sky Strewn with Stars. You could say this story picks up after the ending of A Sky Strewn with Stars, though those connections are minor.

This story keeps to a gentle, understated tone throughout. ^^.

I suddenly started liking Ayasegawa Yumichika from BLEACH, so I decided to start planning a story about him.

And now that I've finished planning it, the story is complete:
