The Whole Entertainment Industry Is Waiting for Me to Divorce

Pei Xu had spent decades working hard and won every award there was, with only the Best Actor trophy he was going to collect that evening left to claim. But he never expected to get into a car accident on the way to the awards ceremony. When he woke up again, he had become an eighteenth-tier celebrity with no acting skills or character, just a pretty face. The young star shared his name and thought he had powerful backing. As soon as filming began, he made unreasonable demands for more scenes, and was beaten half to death by someone who put a sack over his head. Pei Xu lay in his hospital bed like a mummy. Jiang Sheng, the backer’s adopted son, came to visit him. He was a young man with stern features and an air that warned everyone to keep their distance. Rumor had it he had started his own business and become a CEO at a very young age. Jiang Sheng looked at him with disgust and spoke disdainfully: “This is the divorce agreement. Sign it, and he’ll give you what you want.” Only then did Pei Xu learn that this was a world where men could marry men. He was a substitute for the backer’s beloved white moonlight. They had only recently married, but his sugar daddy thought the young star was an embarrassment and kicked him out. So he signed with a flourish. Looking around the room, which contained not a single trophy, he was deeply annoyed. His trophy-collecting habit kicked in, and he decided to win every award all over again. He patiently auditioned and didn’t care even when people mocked him. Later, his performance as the third male lead in a certain drama sent him straight to the trending topics as “the acting ace of xx web drama.” Before long, everyone noticed that the young star who used to be known for his poor acting had changed. The director who used to look down on him: “I heard you got divorced. You once asked me to give you a chance. I will!” The rich second-generation heir who used to despise him: “I heard you got divorced. Marry me!” Even the older man who had backed him regretted it: “Pei Xu, let’s get remarried!” A good horse never eats the grass behind it. Pei Xu didn’t look back. The next day, #BestActorPeiXuGetsHisMarriageLicense# and #RisingSunIsTheRealDeal# shot straight to the top two trending spots. Jiang Sheng: “My partner is me.” [Close-up of their wedding rings as they hold hands] Pei Xu: [Marriage certificate.jpg] * Both leads are sexually exclusive. The backer never touched the top, and before the divorce, the bottom had no feelings for him. * A sweet little story. Readers who are strongly attached to either the top or the bottom may want to steer clear.
