There's a Goose at Home

[This may be the only story I've regretted writing from the moment I started it. I began it after being moved by a friend. She'd been in a marriage of convenience for ten years and gone through all sorts of struggles and helplessness, but fortunately things turned out well in the end. I started this story wanting to write about the compromises and persistence of people like her, and the troubles and warmth they encounter. But I forgot one thing: marriage of convenience is something only a very small number of people consider. I didn't want to explore the subject too deeply, because that would mean including too much negativity. I also didn't dare make it seem too easy, because I feared that would be disrespectful and might mislead readers. Many of you are young, and I'm worried you might come away thinking a marriage of convenience is a good thing. In the end, I cut most of what I'd written, and all that was left was a goose. Finishing this story is both a relief and a regret.] - Jiang Yan goes on a date with a handsome guy, only to run into his longtime crush, Cheng Yikuan. Cheng Yikuan is getting married and happily gives Jiang Yan an invitation. Heartbroken, Jiang Yan decides to drown his sorrows. But after one bottle, the sorrow is still there, and he's gone... He wakes up in the body of a big white goose. And the goose belongs to Cheng Yikuan's fiancée! Jiang Yan's daily life: watching his crush prepare for his wedding ...Only a real man would go on a hunger strike. ...I'm a little hungry. Maybe I'll skip the hunger strike. Cheng Yikuan's daily life: The goose bit me... ...I'll roast it as soon as I'm done with work. ...Never mind, the more I look at it, the cuter it is. I'll keep it. [Spoiler and warning: The gong is in a marriage of convenience. He and his nominal wife love other people, and theirs is a marriage by contract. They'll have a wedding but never register it.] [Extras are on Weibo. Author ID: Big Damao] Theme:
