A Fish Demon's Bewildering Adventures in the Stars

In the boundless ocean, a red carp was about to leap over the Dragon Gate. Beside him was a water snake, talking to him about the leap: "Leaping over the Dragon Gate is a big deal. Just look at your senior sister. She missed her chance."

The red carp asked, "Senior sister? How come I don't know I have one?"

An inscrutable emotion passed through the water snake's eyes. "She left the Water Clan and went ashore. She doesn't remember anything about the Water Clan anymore."

The red carp was even more confused. He asked, "Why doesn't she remember?"

The water snake pressed his lips together. "She pulled out the scale that held her memories..."

An old tortoise came over and said, "All right, that's enough. The Dragon King's celebration is about to begin. Red Tail, how are your preparations going?"

Red Tail stuck out his tongue. "I forgot."

Old Tortoise: "Then hurry up and get to it."

As soon as he finished speaking, Red Tail was gone.

Old Tortoise shook his head. "Young people these days."

When Red Tail went ashore, took human form, and got lost, he transmigrated.

This story was inspired by The Legend of the Mermaid, though you can barely tell.

The theme may be a little hard to make out at first, but it should become clearer later.

I won't stop updating, but updates may be a little slow.
