Blooming Romance

Blurb: When Chu Xun receives a terminal diagnosis, he comes to terms with everything. At the end of the day, enjoying life is what matters most.

He dumps his scumbag boyfriend, face-slaps his idiotic coworker, quits his stupid boss, moves into a mansion, eats lavish meals, takes a luxury trip, and sleeps with a handsome young guy. Chu Xun goes all out and does every single thing he never dared to do before. He's living it up!

After he blows through all his savings, Chu Xun lies flat and waits to die. The doctor apologetically tells him, "I'm sorry, your terminal diagnosis was a misdiagnosis."

Chu Xun's vision goes black. "..."

He gets another examination. He has been feeling pretty unwell lately, hasn't he?

The doctor looks grave.

Chu Xun's heart sinks. "Don't tell me it wasn't a misdiagnosis after all. Am I sick or not?"

The doctor says, "You don't have a terminal illness, but... you're pregnant."

Chu Xun: "???" Wait, he's a man!

Then the child's father, that handsome young guy, Lin Yanchen, a billionaire at just twenty-six, steps forward with a marriage application already signed by him. "I'll take responsibility. Let's get married."

Only then does Chu Xun belatedly realize that the peach-blossom luck he missed out on for thirty years has suddenly swept over him like a flood, taking him completely by surprise.

[Reading Guide]

1. This is a melodramatic story. I'm personally fine with anything and have very few sensitivities, so I can't provide a detailed list of potential triggers. If you need one, please don't read.

2. The gong isn't a virgin and had a girlfriend in the past. The shou is a virgin. Once they get together, it's 1v1, with a happy ending. Not suitable for readers who require both leads to be virgins, or for extreme gong- or shou-focused fans.

3. I wanted to write something with a bit of a bourgeois feel, so I modeled it on Hong Kong-style writing.

Every year, when spring returns, the ice on the upper reaches of the Yellow River melts and the water level rises. As the water rushes downstream, the peach blossoms along both banks come into bloom. That's why this period of flooding is known as the Peach Blossom Flood.

Here's a preview of my upcoming novel:

"An Aesthetic of Bad Endings for the Immortal Lord"

Immortal Lord, Immortal Lord, I know you are the most supreme being in the world, with the sun, moon, stars, and clouds in the palm of your hand.

Even though you killed me once, I still respect you.

But I don't want to love you anymore.

You can be the Immortal Lord, and I'll be the emperor.

I'm just that unambitious. I don't seek immortality; I only want to live freely and happily through this fleeting mortal life.
