I Used the Tyrant as a Stand-In

Ding Xiaozhou is a poor, fierce little cripple. The villagers mocked Ding Xiaozhou as an unwanted ger, saying he could only find himself a wild man from outside and bring him home as a husband. He sent an eight-carriage wedding procession to bring Ding Xiaozhou away. Everyone changed their tune and said Ding Xiaozhou had a discerning eye and a kind heart that was rewarded. He'd risen from humble beginnings and become a phoenix. ~ Actually, when Ding Xiaozhou first rescued the wild man and brought him home, he only wanted to exchange him for a reward. He had seen the man in the provincial capital: noble, arrogant, surrounded by attendants. He was definitely some rich family's young master. But Ding Xiaozhou spent all his savings saving the wild man's life, and the man lost all his memories, leaving him unable to repay the favor. All that effort, for nothing. Ding Xiaozhou cried all night, then got up early to work the millstone. The wild man offered to help. He bent down, gently wiped away Ding Xiaozhou's tears, and sincerely suggested, "How about I repay you by marrying you?"
