I'm Just an Ordinary Person!

Blurb:

In the year 9436 of Blue Star, a game of differentiation descended upon the world.

Bai Yuxi had always been the sort of ordinary person who disappeared into a crowd. She wasn't pretty or talented; her face, height, and grades were all perfectly unremarkable. So after graduating from college, it was only natural that her family pushed her into the matchmaking frenzy.

Her blind date gave Bai Yuxi a critical once-over. "How old are you? You're not older than me, are you...?"

Bai Yuxi: "Twenty-five."

Blind date: "Did you date anyone in college? Ever do anything you wouldn't want to talk about?"

Bai Yuxi: "..."

Blind date: "After we get married, can you focus on the family? A lot of career women are under so much pressure these days, and their bosses might get handsy if they're not careful. Men can earn money to support the family. What do you think?"

Bai Yuxi: "I like my job. I'm not quitting."

Blind date: "After we get married, we should start trying for a baby as soon as possible. My parents are still young enough to help us raise the child. Do you think a boy or a girl would be better?"

Bai Yuxi: "..."

Halfway through the date, night suddenly fell. After a ding, the lights came back on.

The blind date was so startled he nearly hid under the table, but fortunately, it only lasted an instant.

He straightened his watch and his hair, stiff with hairspray, then continued with his previous question.

"What do you think about having a destination wedding? It wouldn't cost much, and we could save some money for our future home. As for where to go, I think our own city would be nice."

Bai Yuxi kept her head down, as though she hadn't heard him.

The blind date frowned. "Are you listening to me?"

"Hey! Say something! Why are you looking down?" The blind date impatiently reached for Bai Yuxi.

Just as his fingers were about to touch her head, Bai Yuxi slowly raised her face. Her black, slit-pupil eyes were filled with brutality, like the deepest black hole in the world.

When the blind date came to his senses, trembling, the world around him had changed. The blue sky, white clouds, and tranquil restaurant had all vanished. As far as he could see, there stretched a vast, dust-choked ancient battlefield, dark red in hue!

The only clear and unmistakable thing on the battlefield was the phantom of a golden-red dragon, circling and diving through the air! One roar from the dragon, and even the heavens and earth seemed to change color!
