Compared with the original, the characters are more fully developed, the plot more vivid, and I’ve polished the writing again. Overall, I’m still pleased with it. Revising is even more exhausting than writing; it has practically drained all my energy.
But I still think it was worth it, because I love this story, and so do many others. I hope to make it even better.
I’ve added quite a few new scenes. Shen Yue’s personality will be more nuanced and come across as more authentic. I’ve also added more scenes for Xiao Xiao. After all, she and Xiao Dan once loved each other so deeply, so Xiao Dan’s later hesitation shouldn’t come out of nowhere~
I found time to revise it during the Olympics. It was originally under 60,000 words, but now it’s over 100,000, making it a novella. I hope you’ll enjoy it.
