[Captain America/Avengers] Lotus Incarnation

Spoiler warning for Avengers: Infinity War. Though there’s only a tiny bit, and it’s been changed beyond recognition, and it’s probably something most people already know... You could call it... a legend about rebirth. The original idea actually came from the story of Nezha... I had a fleeting thought of Bucky, turned to ash, shedding the sinful body of his mortal life and being reborn with a pure lotus as his flesh and bones. Then, to keep the style consistent, I mixed in various elements from myths and legends I’d heard about, and the whole story became what it is now. I think I’d completely lost track of what I was writing by the second section. I feel like I’ve once again ruined a good idea with my terrible writing... Watching Infinity War probably requires a little Buddhist detachment, in every sense of the phrase. If any of the ideas seem familiar, try searching online. You might find the original sources in works such as Investiture of the Gods or the Huainanzi. The pairings include Steve/Bucky and Bucky/Steve, with no preference, as well as Thor/Loki, who only make a brief appearance but have a child together (?). Theme:
