Love at First Shot [Esports]

A sweet PUBG esports romance: a flirtatious, dominant top with deadly aim X a sharp-tongued but sincere puppy-like bottom Press conference after China's first gold medal in the PUBG international team tournament. [God Xia, was the person who appeared on L God's livestream camera last night looking disheveled you? Were you wearing L God's team jersey?] L God: Yes. Xia Tian: No. [After winning a chicken dinner at the All-Star Game, L God used recoil control to write “Xia Tian, marry me” on a wall. The whole world saw it. What do you have to say?] L God: He was complimenting my shooting skills. Xia Tian: Tell him to get lost. [We heard you and L God were already close during your rookie training. Can you tell us how you met?] Xia Tian: We ran into each other in a random squad game... L God: He accidentally killed me with a frying pan. Wham. It's the story of an ambitious internet cafe manager who finally gets to wear the Five-Star Red Flag after the great demon king puts him through the wringer. “Our eyes met, and I knew you were the one I wanted to snipe.” “One day, I'll be your equal, and we'll be evenly matched.” >> Important warning 1: The bottom once resorted to [selling cheats] to make ends meet, but has [never cheated] in his own matches or livestreams. Please click X if this bothers you. [2025 update: I only realized after getting into CS that I'd written such an unsuitable premise for an esports novel. I apologize for the stupid idea I had seven years ago.] >> Important warning 2: The game is based on early PUBG. The later custom server settings are mostly made up, and the professional tournaments are fictional. The characters aren't based on real people, and you don't need to play the game to enjoy the story. Please don't get hung up on version details. >> Important warning 3: The top and bottom aren't on the same team at first. They join the same All-Star team later. >> I was forty chapters in before I realized there really is a guy named Xia Tian on the 4AM team. I'm sorry, I genuinely didn't know before. This isn't fanfiction. Please don't associate the characters with real people. Theme: Never give up.
