[Journey to the West] Sun Wukong X White Lotus: Wukong and Lotus

Bodhi has no tree, nor is the bright mirror a stand. Since nothing exists to begin with, where could dust alight?

"Victorious Fighting Buddha?"

"Ha. How ironic..."

A compassionate Buddha, free of worldly strife, so why is he called the "Victorious Fighting Buddha"? Because selfish desires are hard to dispel, and attachment to the self runs deep.

"Lay down the butcher's knife, and you will find salvation..."

The fury burning in his Fiery Golden Eyes was just like the blazing flames that engulfed Flower-Fruit Mountain...

"You tell me to lay down the butcher's knife, but Flower-Fruit Mountain burned in flames. Are you saying that can simply be erased?"

He threw back his head and laughed. It was sorrow, anger, unwillingness, and despair...

"You say that turning back leads to salvation, but when I turn back, there's no home to return to."

He knelt before Buddha for five hundred years, but never once did Buddha take pity on him. Buddha said not to dwell on the mortal world, but he could no longer escape the monastic life. Buddha said love brings joy, but without love, how could he ever find peace?

He closed his eyes, and a white lotus flashed through his mind, gone in an instant...

He opened his eyes, and a Sarira burst from his body, blazing with light...

One thought makes a Buddha; one thought makes a demon.

"I would rather be the Demon King for all eternity than ever return to your sacred mountain."
