The Emperor Reads Romance Novels Hidden in His Memorials

As a bestselling author, Li Jianyu became a city lord after transmigrating to ancient times and promptly returned to his old job, writing CEO romances.

"Hey, hey, have you heard? The emperor is heading south!"

"Yeah, apparently he's looking for a lover he met by chance. And rumor has it... the lover is a young man!"

Li Jianyu immediately set pen to paper and spun a tragic romance about a domineering emperor and a seductive male fox spirit. His little storybooks sold across the country, earning him bucket after bucket of silver.

Then the emperor and his entourage arrived in Fallen Leaves City.

Li Jianyu: Any clues about His Majesty's lover?

Eunuch: According to His Majesty, that young man spent a night of passion with him at the Fulai Inn on the seventh day of the seventh month. His Majesty has been unable to forget him ever since.

Li Jianyu: ...

A memory came rushing back, and Li Jianyu could almost feel his back starting to ache.

When he discovered he was pregnant, he wanted to die.

"Adviser!"

"Yes! What are your orders, City Lord?"

"Quick, pack my bags. I'm going traveling for a month."

I write CEO romances, so I never imagined I'd end up playing the heroine in one myself. This trope... I refuse to accept it!
