[Investiture of the Gods] Those Years I Was Possessed

#What Do I Do After Becoming Sect Master Tongtian?# The man who transmigrated to another world declares: I want to marry Nuwa and Houtu, flirt with Xihe and the Queen Mother of the West, and gather seventy-two peerless beauties from the Primordial World into my harem! I want to kick Yuanshi and Laozi and punch Zhunti and Jieyin! I'll rewrite the Investiture of the Gods and become the ultimate winner in life! But do you think this is a harem-filled power-up story? Apparently not. Tongtian was possessed, abandoned by Heaven and ignored by his teachers, friends, and family, reduced to a mere disembodied spirit. He watched the "magpie" who had stolen his identity use the excuse of changing fate to seize everything and commit every evil, selfish deed. He watched that future soul solemnly swear to undo the tragedy of the Investiture of the Gods, only to turn around and grovel before Yuanshi, humbling himself into the dirt. Finally, he heard that future soul smugly claim he had done right by Tongtian, the failure, because he had changed the ending and avoided imprisonment. Tongtian looked toward the Jie Sect, the sect he had once placed his hopes in, the sect that had sought to carve out a sliver of hope for billions of people, whether base or wicked, revered or virtuous. Now it had become no different from Yuanshi's Chan Sect, which simply obeyed Heaven's will. Done right by him? Was that the "success" he'd won by licking Heaven's boots? He asked the one person who had been willing to reach out and help him: "So, in their eyes, as long as someone wears this shell and bears this identity, no matter who they are inside or how completely their actions differ from before, they're still Shangqing Tongtian?" The person replied, "A puppet with no self-awareness and no ability. They're at ease, and Heaven is happy too. It's a joyous outcome for everyone." "But I'm not happy." Dressed in red, Tongtian laughed, his brows sharp and his eyes wild with arrogance. "In that case, I won't let them have their way!"
