[The Cannon Fodder 'Top' System Fanfiction] Bystander

He was a newly born System, sent to guide and help a hopelessly clueless man.

So he watched as that man changed bit by bit, from innocent and silly, to cold and obsessive, and then to indifferent to everything around him.

His smile gradually faded. The man lived for nearly a thousand years, but in the end, time wore away the person he had once been.

Sometimes he thought, if only the System had never caught that man. Then his smile would have stayed forever.

At last, he watched the man finally find a place to belong, and felt glad.

He was happy for him.

So he sacrificed himself, so that this man could find happiness.

That was enough...

Song Guan.

Actually, I think this is pretty good. This is pretty good.
