[Short Story] One-Body Happiness

You've been asleep for so long. It's because I did something really awful, so you're angry, right?

Don't be angry. I promise I won't do anything awful ever again.

Hey... wake up, okay?

If I kiss you, will you wake up?

If I hold you, will you wake up?

You're so cold in my arms. Did you get chilled? You're so stiff, and even in your dreams, why are you so tense? You smell awful. Is it because you haven't bathed in a long time?

Hey, I'll warm you up so you won't feel cold anymore. I'll tell you a story, so please relax: I'll give you a nice, warm bath, and then you'll smell sweet again.

Hey... please... I'm begging you... wake up, okay...?

Wake up... Even if all you do is call me an idiot, that's fine...

Please... sob...
