This novel was originally titled "Long Live the Emperor" and was also known as "I'll Do Anything to Stay Alive."

It's not a palace-intrigue novel, but a not-so-serious story set in an imaginary world. No CP.

Note: The story takes place in a fictional world of five kingdoms. This novel focuses on just one of them. My writing isn't good enough to cover the whole Five Kingdoms, so the map here is limited to the Taihao Kingdom. When I feel my writing has improved enough, I'll start a new project about the struggle for supremacy among the five kingdoms.

The five kingdoms in the novel:

Yellow: Xuanyuan Kingdom, located in the center and bordering the other four.

Green: Taihao Kingdom, with northern landscapes and simple, honest people.

White: Shaohao Kingdom, a prosperous land of plenty, rich in fish and rice.

Red: Kuiwei Kingdom, with fierce people and a thriving livestock industry.

Black: Zhuanxu Kingdom, a wild frontier where many different peoples live.
