A Forced Melon Is So, So, So Sweet

This is my first work, and it's a little rough around the edges. Please bear with me. Synopsis: If you knew this would happen, why did you do it in the first place? Pei Yu used to be outrageously arrogant, and now he's utterly henpecked. After years of loving and cherishing the cool, aloof girl he held dear, he finally made her his wife through every means at his disposal. But she still often ignores him, and won't even have a child with him. One day, while drinking and chatting with his three rich-kid friends, one poured him a glass of strong liquor. He waved it away. "I can't drink. My wife doesn't like the smell of alcohol." Another offered him a cigarette. He shook his head. "I can't smoke. If I do, I won't be allowed through the door tonight." The third clapped him on the shoulder and said in exasperation, "Since when has our dashing Young Master Pei become this afraid of his wife?!" Then the third friend had a flash of inspiration and summoned a beautiful woman with an ample bust and shapely hips. The next moment, Pei Yu sprang up like a coil and retreated a good distance, protesting indignantly, "Stop right there! If even a trace of perfume gets on me, my wife will definitely divorce me!" "So what if she does? Is Young Master Pei afraid he won't find another wife?" Pei Yu ignored them and sat chastely in another corner, eyeing those brainless males with disdain. His resolve was unshakable: He would never get divorced in this lifetime, even if it killed him! He had painstakingly raised this tender, lovely, fair-skinned little melon to ripeness. Its sweetness lingered in his heart and would stay with him for a lifetime. How could it compare to all those misshapen melons and rotten fruit out there? The heroine is restrained at first, then strikes back. She's a cool goddess with both brains and beauty. The hero seems calculating on the surface but is soft-hearted inside. He loves her, spoils her, and protects her, all because he loves her too much. One-on-one, both pure, utterly doting and endlessly tender. But after they married and had a child, she became irritable and suspicious, ordering him around and getting into a fierce argument with his mother almost every day. For a while, he suspected Yang Lingqin had a mental illness. So he ignored her, paid her no attention, and focused only on enjoying himself. Then one day, when Yang Lingqin went from hysterical to cold and distant and threw the word "divorce" at him, he inexplicably panicked for a moment. His pride was a little wounded, but he quickly pretended to be calm, thinking she must have said it in a fit of anger. Without a rich, handsome man like him, she and her child would be eating plain cornmeal buns! He told her to think it over again and again before deciding. But she resolutely left with their second child. The first week, he was certain she'd be back in a few days. The second week, he was so restless he couldn't eat or sleep, cursing women for being heartless. The third week, he told his mother, "I'm taking our eldest to find his wife. You and Dad can keep each other company!" When Zou Kaijie finally saw his wife again after a string of twists and turns, with their three-year-old daughter in tow, he acted like a wronged husband, making a scene and threatening to throw himself in front of her if she wouldn't come home with him! Yang Lingqin pulled their daughter close and said calmly, "If you're looking to get hit by a car, go straight and turn right. There's more traffic over there." Theme:
