Filming Dramas in the Cultivation World

Zhan Yan transmigrates into the cultivation world and joins a fallen major sect that has nothing left but its impressive reputation. The sect's protective array burns through spirit stones every month, and when its members go out, they have to rely on communal supplies from the storeroom to keep up appearances.

She plans to make money writing stories, but everyone in the cultivation world is a cutthroat competitor, and stories don't sell as well as cultivation manuals. In a fit of anger, Zhan Yan borrows money to buy a recording stone: she'll write scripts, direct, and film them herself!

Clips from her recordings leak out and become a sensation in the mortal world, then start sweeping through the cultivation world. The demonic cultivators hold an emergency meeting overnight: What new stunt is the righteous path pulling lately? They look even more wicked than we do!

Zhan Yan heads to a snowy peak to scout locations, where she happens upon a mortal boy dressed in Miaojiang-style clothing.

In an instant, inspiration strikes. She takes out a youth-preserving pill in exchange for showing off his stunning face.

The boy accepts the pill, casually cooperates with her filming, then turns and walks away.

Zhan Yan clutches the recording stone, tears of excitement in her eyes. This one's sure to be a hit, right? Absolutely!

Zhan Yan: ...
