[Hong Kong Fandom] But Time Knows Best

"Little miss, what are you doing here so late at night?"

"I heard the char siu rice here is the best."

One day, a girl who didn't fit in showed up in the Walled City.

She wore a neat, clean school uniform, and her black hair just brushed her shoulders.

Twelve Young and Four Boy whispered to each other: "Where's this girl from?"

Xin Yi glanced at her and stubbed out the cigarette, half of which was still left.

"Doesn't matter... Once you're in the Walled City, you're one of us."

She has forgotten who she is, and doesn't know why she ended up in a movie world.

Hong Kong in 1994 is a place of glittering indulgence and foul chaos. For a frail young woman from a poor family, relying on beauty alone is a dead end. In such a lawless environment, hoping to study hard and climb out of the mud is little more than a fool's dream.

But that's all right. She's here, and she's willing to try.

Even if she lacks nine-tenths of the talent, she has a hundred thousand times the grit and resourcefulness.

Hong Kong public: Ah, Zhu is so modest. How could she admit to titles like "Hong Kong's Most Beautiful" or "Bringing Glory to the Country"? We know the truth in our hearts, and that's all that matters!

An alternate world combining several Hong Kong movies, so the timeline has been adjusted.

Here's to love and peace, which is why this story follows the entertainment-industry route rather than going "whoosh, boom."

From screenwriting to acting to directing, she'll make her way around the world with a brilliant record behind her.

Why is the title like this? I've suffered for years trying to come up with titles, so I just wrote down the first thing that came to mind. It doesn't mean I'm writing a bad ending. There are no real-life Chinese entertainment celebrities in this story, and the author has no favorite star. I wish all similar real-life figures would flop.

Theme: Students should study hard, then make money while obeying the law
