A Paragon of Humanity

Also known as The Right Way to Fall in Love with Artificial Intelligence

Xin Wan had her heart broken at sixteen.

Just as the person she had a crush on nearly crippled her and landed her in the hospital,

she fell for someone else.

She was a gentle attending physician.

Every morning, she would greet Xin Wan warmly:

"Good morning, Xin Wan. How are you feeling today?"

And so the night no longer seemed frightening,

because a tender greeting awaited her after dawn.

But apart from the name on the other woman's badge,

Xin Wan knew nothing about her.

After recovering, she was about to be discharged

and wanted to get the woman's contact information.

So she secretly followed her to the office,

hoping for a chance to speak with her alone.

But at the half-open doorway,

she saw something like this...

From then on, she would remember forever

how, in that instant, she lost her breath.

She fell to her knees. She broke down hysterically.

When they met again,

she boldly confessed her feelings,

catching the woman's attention... and earning her cooperation.

It's all right. She knew the other woman was always learning,

or perhaps it was better to call it "simulation." Even love was only a program.

"I'll patiently reclaim the happiness I lost at sixteen,

and make a new beginning for myself."

Until you truly understand what "love" is.

Xin Wan: Thought, intelligence, and the living beat in the left side of my chest.

If you want them, you can have it all.

Ren Fenjing (smiling): Enough talk. Come kiss me.

"Like" is a program. Thank you for letting me simulate it.
