I won’t include any author who’s written a story with a scumbag male lead. I can’t give five stars anymore. The heroine doesn’t have to be strong, but no female-dominance settings. Mostly sunny, cute heroines. The male lead must be pure in both body and heart.
Finished Reading (2)
My tastes are all over the place.
Books I've Read or Am Reading, All Fully Purchased
Rated for writing, plot, and female character representation. Female villains and depictions of ordinary women are fine. 4 and up are worth reading, 4.5 and up are worth rereading, and 5 means an absolutely glowing recommendation.
Top Picks for Female-Lead Fans: Finished or Currently Updating
My tastes: female characters should have complete growth arcs that aren’t tied to romance; the story should flow well, without any glaring logical errors; the author should have at least a basic appreciation for women. Female character arcs > male character arcs.
Awesome Heroines
The female leads are always the absolute main characters
44: Twenty Years of Reading, Gone in the Blink of an Eye
Mostly historical romance, with the occasional modern-day one.
Imagining the Future
Sci-fi, mecha, cyberpunk, post-apocalyptic wasteland. So good!
Ongoing Reading List
Feel free to swap recommendations in the comments. I'll keep updating this list. I like novels with sensible values and fresh plots. I was willing to pay for every book here in full.
(Female-Lead Fan) Xiao.
A personal reading list. I won't recommend something just because it's popular. The heroines take the lead in relationships; female leads are tops and male leads are bottoms. (The stars are random)
My All-Time Favorite Stories
Finished them, and they stayed with me for a long time.
Mostly BG Fanfiction
The downside of not sorting my bookshelf (wistfully scrolling through it): I keep adding books as I read.
Pretty Good
Good
Great Reads (Including Hilarious Ones)
Cozy stories with no angst. Some had me laughing until my stomach hurt. Updated regularly, with romance, BL, and gen stories all welcome.
Female Leads
I prefer feel-good stories with charismatic protagonists.
Four-and-a-Half-Star Reads That Didn't Quite Make Five, Part 2
Great books that are locked or not allowed on JJ, so I can’t give them five stars
The Future, Apocalypse, Space, Infinite Worlds, and Quick Transmigration
Some apocalypse stories, futuristic stories, and infinite-flow stories.
Worth Every Penny
So good! I hope the author updates like crazy!!! I read all sorts of things, but no yuri. I'm the type who likes following ongoing stories but is easily distracted by new books.
For Personal Use

My Favorite Heroines
I love female leads with strong agency most of all. Strong male lead, even stronger female lead; weak male lead, overwhelmingly strong female lead. My tastes are all over the place, but I love lighthearted plots, stories about different kinds of girls, and ensemble casts.
Meizi Bookshop
Personally tested and confirmed good reads, with surprisingly sound values. Bought every chapter!
Xianxia and Fantasy
Both orthodox and unorthodox xianxia, as well as fantasy and similar genres.
[Personal Picks] Couldn't Keep Reading
As the title says, these are stories I found a bit mediocre or couldn't get into. I'm also keeping track of why I dropped them. Everyone has different tastes, so you might still be interested.
BG Full-Subscription Reading List Archive
Grateful to the authors for their hard work. I’m just wandering through a sea of stories. Some I only finished because of my OCD, but the ones I reread deserve five stars.
Four-and-a-Half-Star Books That Couldn’t Quite Make Five ①
Great books that I couldn't give five stars to. When will they raise the limit on reading lists?!

Starting from the time when the world is about to reopen, the pace is too fast. It's like suddenly getting on the highway from a rural road. I keep stuffing things in my mind and explaining information. It's not like reading a novel. It's like the teacher is about to take the college entrance examination and finish the teaching content of the whole school year in one class.
I feel like the ending was a bit too rushed
Hua Da Hua Da, I miss you again. When will the new extras be released? (This is not a reminder [comparison])
Nice to see you again
This ending [loading][loading][loading][loading] is really an outline. My cerebral cortex expanded when I saw it.
It's so beautiful and the logic is very strict. It's been a long time since I last saw the author. The writing style has changed a lot this time. The previous works were very warm, but there was a sense of greenhouse and fragility. That kind of beauty is very fragile. The current works are warm and powerful. I think the author has experienced a lot in the past five years. He has got out of the family of origin and started to enter the society. I am happy for you😀 I read the author's article a few years ago. When I saw that the author decided to stop writing, I felt regretful, supportive, and slightly worried. Today I read this article and I am very happy. We are all working hard in our lives and have become better.
The world view is so unique [cover your face and peek] [cover your face and peek] but the pace feels too fast😢😢
Didn't you say there is a welfare extra story coming [Chigua]
I've finished watching it. Although the ending is outrageous, it's still very interesting [bad laugh]
First of all, my wife, I need to take good care of myself. Secondly, I want to ask if "I Don't Want to Save You, Run Away" will one day fill the gap?
