The Prince Always Shows His Affection to the Wrong Person

The Gu couple felt they must have done something terribly wrong in a past life. Neither of their children was easy to handle.

Their son preferred finery to fighting, and was especially passionate about embroidery.

Their daughter preferred fighting to finery, disguised herself as a man, and worked as a constable at the county office.

They were at their wits' end!

Prince Duan was also deeply troubled, because he'd fallen in love with a man.

Just as he was about to defy conventional morality, he was delighted to discover that the object of his affection was a woman.

Just as he resolved to bring her back to the prince's manor and marry her, he was shocked to discover that people around him were plotting to get their hands on his future princess.

Prince Duan decided:

He would protect his beloved's dream of becoming a constable.

He would thoroughly beat up everyone who coveted her.

He would do everything he could to win his future princess's favor.

But... things never went quite as smoothly as planned...

Mutual secret crushes.
